Creative Indelibles: Tim Holtz 12 Tags of 2016: April

Welcome back to my blog! It has been a while since I have posted, but I have been busy. I moved my craft room from an upstairs bedroom into my converted dining room. I am still getting settled but I really like being closer to the "heart" of the house, rather than stuck in a far away bedroom. It is also fun to be able to invite friends over to craft and have enough room for everyone! I will be doing a new craft room tour as soon as I am a little more settled. I have also been working on making some jewelry that I will share about in a future post. Stay tuned!

I know, I waited until the last minute, but I finally my tag for this month. I just love Tim's tag, using the Ranger Mosaic Kit. You can read more about it here. I missed last month, due to various reasons, but I really wanted to complete this month's tag because I love the mosaic kit. I've used it on a few other items in my craft room already and I was anxious to try it on a card. Here is my completed tag (which is really a card):

I used the Tim Holtz Watering Can die and the Wallflower Paper Stash.

While I was waiting for the grout to dry, I cut out some florals using the Tiny Tattered Florals dies.

I colored the flowers with some orange and yellow distress ink.

While the flowers were drying, I added the paper "tiles" to my Watering Can die cut.

For the background, I used Distress Woodgrain cardstock. I applied some Picket Fence Distress paint to my craft sheet and rolled my mini brayer through the paint. Unfortunately, I had some ink left over on my craft sheet (always clean your craft sheet after inking!) so the paint was a little tinted when I applied it on my cardstock. It was really not noticeable in the end so I didn't get too worried about it.
